I'm in the process of purchasing an 08 Altima coupe 2.5. I believe it has the stock 16 inch rims on it with brand new tires... I'm looking to drop the car (eibach) to give it more of that "sport" look and purchase some rims. My question is, would 16 inch rims look stupid on it? or even 17s for that matter? i live in michigan so i need to put a decently big tire on it and don't want to fuss with separate summer/winter sets. I don't need anything big and gaudy like 20s, just want the car to look sharp with out it looking like it has go cart tires on it. My budget is under $1000 for everything so I'd be nice to use the tires It came with.

Are the 16/17s with the drop going to give me a nice look or just awkward???
Photos of 16/17s would be nice... Can't find any online.

Here's a pic of my coupe, many years ago when I first got it. It's on the OEM 17's with eibach springs and OEM shocks/struts. I don't think it looked too bad then...

I have to chuckle when I see this pic compared to how it looks now in my sig :chuckle:

Thank you! That helps me out, they definitely still look good. I think the body kit makes it look better than mine ever would though hah... How much is something like that?

You can go with 18s and you can still have a lot of tire with the drop. Prolly like 235/45/18

The Eibach springs can be bought for $200-$280

Here's mine with 17s (ROTA IK-F) and Eibach Springs

or 17s with coils (an inch lower than Eibach Springs)

Keep in mind that the car won't be as comfortable if you drop it, And/or put bigger wheels.

heres a few of my ride with Eibachs sitting on 18's. These were taken about a week after the Eibachs were installed, so it has settled a bit more since then.
