Seems like most of the guys in the wheels forum are well versed on car apps. but I think I'd get better help here so heres the cituation. I want to put 31x10.5 on 15x7.5rims on my 94 hardbody 4x4 and am wondering what backspacing I need.

They'll work just fine on stock 15x7 rims. IMO, a 7" rim is best for a 10.5 treadwidth tire. Optimal without any lift is 4.5-5.5" of Back spacing. Any less and you may need to do some minor fender trimming at stock height.

I just wanted to double check... the 94 4x4 HB has a 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern?

Do the Frontier and Hardbody wheels have the same bolt patterns? I am looking at buying some 5-spoke wheels from a '06 Frontier for my HB. I think that model frontier has 6-lug 17x7 wheels, but not sure of backspacing or bolt pattern.

Also, would a 30 inch BFG All terrain fit without any lift?

Ok, I think I found the answer to my question. My Hardbody is 6 x 5.5 and the '06 Frontier is 6 x 4.5 and the wheels are 16x7.
