Yes this has probablly beeen posted already somewhere but searching is a pain in the *** and so is trying to sort through all the differing opnions on the topic so I'll ask anyway. Looking for a set of 17" wheels for a 96 240SX SE that will clear 300ZX front and rear ( if they clear the front i'm sure they'll clear the rear ) calipers. But the question doesn't stop there, plus one sizing on the car puts the tire size at 215 or 225 and 40 or 45 series? Logic says 215/45 but I'm sure 225/40 will be fine. Wheel width I would like to see at about 7.5 and the big question is WHAT OFFSET DO I USE? I want to say 25 but that may not be right so someone correct me or verify my thoughts and please don't respond telling me about how you made a certain wheel work with 2 inch spacers and 4 inch long wheel studs

sounds like your width, offset, and tire sizes are off to a good start. you can use 215/45 or even 225/45-17 if you want. +25 offset is fine. Z32 brake clearance depends more on wheel spoke design than any other factor.
