looking at tirerack site,I notice some 18x8 wheels show 35 offset for 90-96q,others show 40 offset for same. which is correct, and any noticable performance/looks difference if I happen to go with the 40 offset wheel?

With an 8in wheel, 35offset is more ideal for a flusher looking fit, but 40 will work... you cant use 40mm offset in a 8.5 up front....

No performance difference, and not really that much difference in fit!

I think one can use a +40mm offset 8x18 up front. There seem to be a lot of room inside towards the strut with a +35mm offset on a 18x9.

But one will find it tight with a +33 or less 18x9 up front because of the fenders.

References are to mounted PS2, 255/40-18 on said wheels.
