I have the chance to pick up some nice wheels at a great price.

17 X 8 +42 offset.

I have a 95 240, 5 lug (SE).

I plan on putting a set of D2 coilovers on it and would appreciate any info if these rims would fit.

Looking at 225/40/17 for front and possible 245/45/17 on the rears. I may go 225/40 all the way around, haven't decided yet.

EDIT: I have a set of 8" wide rims on another car of mine with 225's on and they don't quite come flush with the edge of the rim. I ran the #'s through the wheel offset calc and according to it, the new rims will be 21 MM (.82 Inches) closer to the inner strut. I have noticed that the springs on the stock front struts are massive, so I am mainly concerned with the front wheels clearing the D2 coilovers that will be going on soon.

TIA for input.

If you want flush, a +42 offset is not the way to go. More like +25/+30 would do it.

You have quite a lot of choices with your 5x114.3 lug pattern, hold out for something better that will clear your future coilovers.

Just wait till ChunkiDori chimes in

btw, what kind of car is the 'other' car you have that has the 8" wide rims?

Painting is a ways off, got more performance mods to do.

The mud flaps and lower bumper lip will be painted when the car goes in for the paint work.

Also, found some ADR's with 35 offset, will post pics when the suspension is done and the new wheels are on.
