If got a 92 hatch that i bought some 93 FD rx7 wheels for. They are +50 offset and 8in wide. I guess the stockers are +40 6.5in wide.

So i got on one of those offset calculators and typed in the specs and it moves outer rim out 9mm / inner in 29mm

I mounted them and the rear has no problems but the front obviously^ 29mm hits the struts! NOT GOOD!!!

So did some reading about spacers and bolt on spacers and offset loading....blahh blahh

So my question is if i put 25mm bolt on spacers on wouldnt this be ideal for a wider wheel combo since offset will be close to OEM 40+ since i guess suspension geometry is based on that. O YEA and they will then clear the struts!!!! :dblthumb:

I am aware of the safety concerns with bolt on spacers in general>>(some have good luck-- *torque wrench*) some have them snap off the studs << im thinking this might have to do with offset change creating additional LOADING :poke:

This might be the end all wheel spacers theory----***if offset is brought back to oem specs wouldnt this create a safer situation compared to just bolting on what ever wheels moving offset out or in***
