Gonna buy wheels (either Tenzo DC5 or SSR Comp H in 19) but I want a "concave" look to them, and the only way to do that is to get a lower offset like 32 or 35 mm so the middle of the wheel seems to go inward to the hub (makes the wheel stick out more toward the fender edge).

anyone running offsets like this and do you have issues with rubbing, etc?

BTW- I want to do the eibach drop soon after.

It would help if you listed the width of the wheel.

The concave(GTR face) look will be different for each wheel setup. Personally I don't think it will happen with those offsets you listed. You would need something closer to a +20 offset with at least a 8.5" wheel to have a concave look.

I'm running 8.5" wide, +35 offset wheels, and I have the Eibach drop (don't look at my signature, those are old pics...) I don't have any issues at rubbing, not even on hard bumps, speed bumps, etc.

The conclave look that you are going for is more a product of the wheel design than just the offset! (As Loop already mentioned) You can have a wheel that mounts further out (lower offset) but the actual face of the rim can negate the concave look...

I think you'll need to do a lot of wheel shopping to find exactly what you're looking for... good luck

try doing a search. Some guy ran low offsets (i think 20's) with a 9.5 fronts and and 10.5 rears. Also the gray coupe from foxmarketing got a good staggered setup too. Read that they dont have any rubbing issues so try talking to them. As for me once I find a set of good springs (lower than eibach or H&R), Im gonna go with a staggered/low offset setup too. Always loved them deeeep dish rims.

My next setup will be 19x9 +29 with a greater drop than Eibachs in a few months. The wheels will have a GTR face(concave) look because of its design. Its going to be off the hook!! Coming straight from Japan which will take 3-5 months to come in.

Note: Not all wheels will have a concave look or be the same(IE: Offset/Width/Wheel Design).

Nice, just remember it will require work(cutting or rolling fenders, camber adjustment, etc..)

Brian Fox Grey coupe has its rear rolled fyi.

thanks guys, good to know I wont rub...i did some reading in other forums (no names mentioned) and there was a lot of talk about how they bought the rim based on what it looked like on the manufacturers site, having a deep dish look, but when they got it, it was basically flat. These people were disappointed b/c they wanted somewhat of a concave look (like those sweet BOSS wheels you got, or the new nismo 350z wheels), but ended up with a wheel that looked very different on their car b/c of the higher (40+ MM) offset used. I'm just trying to avoid a costly trial and error. Those Tenzo DC-5s have a definite concave look, but according to other forums, you only get that with a low offset. What I really don't want is a wheel that bulges out towards the center.

I want a 19X8.5 wheel btw.

yea i know.....if I need to get them rolled, ill get it done. Theres a bunch of shops here that specializes in that. Most of the peeps down here are all into VIP so you know how deep them rims are. As for the rims, man I hope youre not getting the same ones as I am bcuz the rims Im planning to get will be coming from japan too. What brand u planning on getting Loop? man at first I was gonna get the Work Varianzas but Brian from FM got them before I did so I went searching for another one that'll look good and found one. Now I hope you dont have the same idea as me. So how are you gonna get springs thats lower than eibachs in a "few" months? Let me in man, you know I been waiting for some springs or coilovers too.

JDM lips are insane! You won't need to worry, I am not getting a wheel that comes with deep dish. Wheels will be a secret for now untill my project is done. I really doubt someone would get mine, they are for people who love JDM.
