So I picked up these wheels here for a pretty good price wrapped in rubber (about 95%) left. Size is 17x8+31 Fronts, 17x9+35's rear. They are the perfect size for my needs, Which is wrapping them in 275-40's with out going too negative on the camber.

So they they have some paint peel and curbing. My plan is to have them redone, but I was thinking last night and came up with a scheme that might look okay.

My thoughts are taking them apart and fixing the rash and sand them down. Then taking the out rim to get them anodized green. As for the centers having them powder coated bright silver (chrome powder) or gloss black. This includes the trim rim and center cap.

Your thoughts? The green is out of nowhere, something a bit different, my second choice is just chrome the outer rim and either gloss black center or a silver but not super bright.

Pics of the wheels on the persons car who sold them to me.

This is true, they would be one off, there is nothing green on my car anyhow, but I am curious to see how it may look. I only paid 650 for the wheels with rubber.

great idea... do it. Who cares about selling them back. Why would you buy something with the intention to sell it back?

I'll try chopping it, would you happen to have a higher resolution shot of the car? the bigger the better.

Just to clarify, that is not my car in the top pic. The S14 belongs to the person who sold me his wheels. And what I was thinking was green lips only (outer part of the 2 piece) with Silver or Black inners (spokes and cap).

This is my car here if anyone want to chop it, but its not a great pic.
