Coilovers ftw!evildky wrote:rear struts, these things get wild when the rear struts fail, mine would kinda walk sideways on bumps, and stock adjustables aren't too much $$ and a pretty easy job
Ditto, currently waiting for my spacers to come in. My toe went bad when I put on a new spring/strut combo. If you look at the pull tire from any angle especially the back then you can see the problem with toe in.maxZpak wrote:Hey guys what could be the cause of my car hopping a little bit to the right side when i hit a pot hole or a bump.. Could it be something to do with the rear wheel stearing?? or do I need an alighnment? It might even hope to the left or the right side depending on which side the pot hole is when I drive over it.
I got my subframe spacers in today and installed them in no time...a very easy installation. I couldn't wait to take a drive and check the difference in the rear end. I have to say that there was a big change in wheel hop. I made sure I went over some of the same bumps that used to cause wheel hop on my car to judge the difference and I have to say that there was a tremendous change and the rear feels a lot more solid. There is more noise though because of the metal on metal but I would rather trade comfort for stiffer suspension and response. This is a must do for any S13 owner with wheelhop!nsrZ32 wrote:^ Like they said, check out the alignment
Also...on the note of wheel hop, Aluminum subframe spacers are amazing. Certainly worth the money and little amount of time to put them in. They chop down wheel hop on launches big time.
as far as rear suspension upgrades go, i went with the Tein Type Flex, little excessive, but i love them, deffinately a good move with the EDFC tho that makes a world of difference arround town. i just went with swaybars all around and the type flexes w/ a full traction kit and camber armsmaxZpak wrote:well I'm planning on getting Tein SS coilover w/edfc (300zx), Im planning on replacing my whole suspension, and than getting new rotors. what everything would you recommand on getting for my suspension front and rear. and for breaking what would you reccomand getting? Also Im planning on getting bigger wheels this summer. And where should I get it all from for a good deal.
What is the diff. between Tein type flex and the Tein SS's? and whats the full traction kit?TT2+2 wrote:as far as rear suspension upgrades go, i went with the Tein Type Flex, little excessive, but i love them, deffinately a good move with the EDFC tho that makes a world of difference arround town. i just went with swaybars all around and the type flexes w/ a full traction kit and camber arms
