wheel hop

hi, i have a 91 240 and when i switch gears at high rpms instead of the usual chirp between gears i get wheel hop. does anyone know why this is happening. does anyone else have this problem. i just replaced my front and rear shocks because the old ones were blown. so i thought that would of fixed the problem.if anyone has any feedback it would be greatly appreciated. thank you

The rubber subframe bushings are one item than can contribute to this. If you want to firm up the rear, there are any number of companies selling inserts, or even whole collar replacements made of billet aluminum. This would limit or stop the subframe from shifting up/down.

I've seen them for sale from SPL and on ebay and other random places too.
