What is the lowest offset and maximum tire width I can do on a 1990 hatchback with no suspension mods and no fender pulling or rolling? I have searched and never got a straight answer.

...... wheel and tire section.

Besides, your post makes no sense. You could run a 15x7 +0 but with only a 205 tire. Or you could run a 15x7 +40 with horrible offset and have a 225. What size. Cuz a 16x7 +10 will fit like a 15x7 +0.

Ask yourself this "What do I know about Wheel width, backspacing, size, offset, tread width, and side aspect ratio?" If there are two or more things there you are unsure of, go research.

Next time do some more research instead of just searching for your answer. Take two explanations and piece together your own answer. That is deductive reasoning.

Point is you can't just search, you have to research. There is no straight answer. What may work for you may not for another.

Besides, aftermarket wheels always look horrible on stock suspension.

Move this or ibtl

well if you gotta move the spacing out for flush fit, I'd suggest a +40 or more for maximum flush fitment and tire width. but dont run anything over a 7.5 and a 215 tire cuz it will burn up the wheel bearings. Then you have bigger problems. So, essentially +40 ideally +42s and next time search...

Haha... nice.

What offset you need to be flush depends on how wide the wheel is. 7.5 wide with +15 offset or 8 wide with +20/+25 offset will be flush.

I just want them flush without any mods. no spacers nothing. If a 17x7 with a +15 offset will work, then thats what I will do. I would like to get something with a lip. What happens then?

Lip doesn't have anything to do with it; it's just the design of the wheel.

For a 17x7, you'd need about +10 offset, and I don't know of anyone that makes a wheel like that.

but you'll still need a decent roll.

but then again... at stock height (aka 4x4)... 9" +20 will look like they're sticking out...

So if I did a 17x7 with a +40 and a 1" spacer I would be close to flush? How wide of a tire could I use and not rub?

let me get this straight...

you don't want to roll your fenders, but you also don't want tires to rub?

Jesus...

On stock suspension and 17x7 wheels, you're not going to rub no matter what... lol. But 215/45 is most popular for 17x7.
