Wheel Fitment question

Could anyone recomend a tire size for a 17x7 +43 wheel. I'd like to fit something wider than my stock 205's and don't want to run into any clearance issues. Would 215's work well? Could I squeeze in 235's? Thanks for any help you can give.

personally, id stick with the 205's maybe push to 215's, but nothing wider than that.

It would be safe to do that i guess. Has anyone tried wider tires? Thanks for the input.

theorhetically a 215-45-17 fits fine on a 7" wide wheel.
