I'm currently running 18x8.5 on my altima sedan. Now I have a chance to run 18x10.5 all around, would this fitment be possible without rubbing or rolling fenders?

You will be the first to run 10.5 all around!

What I've realized is that unless you are on springs (because springs is a specifically set drop) whether you rub or not is diff for each person to an extent.
How much of a drop do you have?
What are the offsets of your wheels?
If you're on coils how much camber do you have?

What Alex said. Biggest question to me is offset. You need to know that. You'll be running 275 tires all around, unless you stretch them. If you're riding at stock height (or maybe even on Eibachs), you might be okay, but to be flush you'd need an offset of probably at least 55 to make it work in the front, and 50 to make it work in the rear, and I don't know what your clearance will be like inside. If you're dropped at all, I don't think I'd recommend this.

If you're on coilovers, you could camber the crap out of them, but then you're going to be going through tires every other week. :P Also, the wider the wheel, the heavier it is. Have you upgraded your brakes? You might need to, or you might need to alter your driving style to give you a lot more space to stop in the event of an emergency.

Great advice thanks guys. After thinking about it, id rather not run this setup. The wheels I was looking at were the enkei pf01 18x10.5 offset was around 12. ill get 9.5 wide to play it safe

Good call. I think I figured out from an amalgamation of comments made by Loop over time that "flush" is about 82.5mm out from the wheel hub in the front, and 87.5mm out from the wheel hub in the rear. (I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong. You out there, Loop? :chuckle:)

If a 9.5"-wide wheel calls for, at minimum, a 245mm-wide tire, that means you'd want a wheel with a +40 offset. If it's higher, you can use spacers to make up the difference.

In the rear, that'd be a +45. But if you're going to go with stretched tires/pulled fenders/spiffy camber, you can probably squeeze out a bit smaller camber. Especially if you're not as slammed as Alex is and I used to be. :P

Camber - not true necessarily. If you bring your toe into spec then you won't be burning through tires really fast. I ran -2 in rear for about 8 months and mine were fine (I only took them off to put my new wheels on, not cause I was losing traction).

Brakes - Good point! When I had my old wheels they were only 8.5 wide but super heavy! Noticed a huge difference in braking. If you're going with a more expensive wheel then the difference in braking power is less drastic I would say.

Agreed. Either you're going to pay for it with the better wheel or you're going to pay for it with the better brakes.

And if you really want to do it right, pay for it with both and just rest easy!

Id choose to pay for the better wheel since I do care about the weight lol my current setup my wheel only weights like 20 pounds each (just a guess) with a +38 offset. Now I want wheels that are agressive to change the look & overall style since I'm getting my car painted pearl white this upcoming week. Thanks a lot for the info guys, I learned a bit more about wheel setups

I ran 18x 9.5 with a +15 with no problems rubbing.... but the wheels stuck out about an inch... I've also run 19x 10.5 same offset with the wheels sticking out more lol. if you want i can try to find some pictures from a while ago.

Yeah please lets see some pics. I was thinking about getting some wheels off a friend of mine.

18x8.5 (40 offset) -Front
19x10 (42 offset) - Rear

Might be too much but we are going to put them on and see whats up.

19x10 +42 sounds delicious

The front will need some spacers for sure though, too much poke in the rear and not enough in the front doesn't look that good on our cars

well i was running a 19x 10.5 with a +15 offset, so it might be a little different than a +42
I did this just for fun, i took them off of my brothers evo. also these were put on when i was still on springs.

That second picture makes those wheels look HOT. A little less poke and some negative camber and they would fit really well :bigthumb:
