This confuses the hell out of me. Offset and spacers and matching tire size to keep the speedo close....

I read the sticky, but it didnt make sense to me, because.....math.

Anyone who can explain it to a brick wall?

I will never claim to be an expert but I think those will be tough to fit without slight camber and a somewhat "skinny" tire (265/35/20 instead of a 275)

it's gonna fit but you will need small tires, roll and pull your fenders a little

If you are interested OP, I can try my 20x10 +20 on the front of my car and snap some pics.

If it's not too much trouble, that would be nice. I appreciate it! So I'm guessing you have 20x10 +20 on the rears right now?

I just realized he wanted $1200 + shipping, and the faces need to be refinished. I can get a new set for around $1500 shipped. For the headache/time/money it would cost to refinish them and shipping cost on top of that, it's not even worth it.

@Altered,
What's your offset on the front rims? Are you using spacers? And did it require any fender work? I'm looking at set with an +25 offset and I thought I would need fender work.

@Swiss, no problem on that. The stock 18s are on right now (winter) but yes the rear wheels in my sig pic are 20X10 +20

@infinite the front wheels are 20x9 +10, no spacers no fender work. If you are looking at 20x10 +25 it will fit but be "aggressive" as people say. I had 20x10 +35 fronts before and I wanted them to sit out a little more, so the +25 would have suited me well.

^ thanks for doing this! It's a little too pokey-outey for my tastes lol. I think a 20X10 +2/-+30 would fit pretty flush based off what you posted.

@Swiss

Thanks for the PM. I replied 7 times but none of the messages appeared in my sent box so I don't know if you received any.

No problem, I was wondering how they would look too. +30 is definitely a good offset for 10" wide on the front.

I didn't get anything, but that's cool. I hope it helped out a little bit at least.

It did a little, and I appreciate it.

So am I wrong in assuming that any 20x10 with the same offset will extend out the same?

Also, if I wanted to go with 19x10 or 20x10, what range in tire size would I have to stay to keep my speedo close to factory?

I don't want to do this, just for my own dumb curiosity... Is there software available to correct the speedo should you want to go with a much larger or much smaller w/t combo? I know the mileage would be off, but curious if you can match the speedo + or - X mph to compensate?

1) That is correct, any wheel with the same spec will stick out as far.

2) 20x10 would be 275/35/20, 19x10 would be 275/40/19

3) I can't speak to this question.

The best way to correct any speedo issues is to get the correct tire application. The main thing to look at is the sidewall height. Going to a tire site like tirerack.com and plugging in your wheel size will give you the correct tire options for your car. There's really no need to think about what size to put on unless you are going to do a really aggressive set up where you need a thinner tire (stretched) or if you want a really meaty fat tire (usually staggered setups for the rear).

So in Don's tire sizes above, the 275 is the width in mm, 35 is the tire height in mm and 20 is the diameter of the tire in inches.

Hi altered, what size tire are you using for your wheels? My wheels are 20x10 +28 and was going to run 275/35/20 but want to make sure there's no clearance issues especially after lowering it on coils to 1 finger wheel gap.

You should be perfectly fine with that size and offset. I have 275/35 on the 20x10 +20 in the photos above. I previously had 20x10 +35 with 275/35 all around on the car, and there was a lot of space. Maybe at most you'll have to do some camber adjustment in the front if you have that small of a gap on factory wheels and tires.
