Right now I have a 2006 m335xi with the non-sport factory wheels (18x8 +47) I believe.

I'm about to buy these nice 22x9.5 rims, however the only offset's available is +15, and +35. I think 15 is way out of the question, but 35 still seems like it'll stick out a little bit?

Any help? And what's the correct tire width to fit on a 9.5 inch wide rim? Thanks! :mike

I just thought of something... will a 22x9.5 even fit in the front at all? I have AWD so I can't do a staggered setup unfortunately :bs:

get the +35 with some 245 tires, should fit pretty good and have room.

thanks for the reply bro... you think a 255 tire would rub in the front? I feel like 245 would be slightly stretched and I don't like the "lip exposed" look... Nor do I want to imagine getting a flat and riding on rim! :ohno: lol

In my opinion, adding 22's takes the M from being a luxo-sport sedan to a bicycle-looking thing. It's OK on large SUVs but the M is too small a vehicle to have such large wheels. Also, you're significantly raising the center of gravity which decreases stability and handling. There is a lime green metallic M45 that parks along the beach by my house and every time I pass by, I wonder what the heck that bloke was thinking. Maybe I'm just to conservative about these matters.

Hello and thank you for your opinion. I don't drive my M aggressively and am more conservative on the road so the small loss in stability and handling seems insignificant to me. I agree that lime green metallic paint is ratchet... I'm not looking to put chrome or tacky painted rims on the car.. I prefer a much classier and clean look. Ideally I'm trying to match this car.

I think it looks really nice. Opinions aside, any thoughts on the fitment of a 255/30/22 all around? Thanks for the reply! :)

If you search on the forum there is a thread all about 22"s. It doesn't look bad if you lower it down the road. 255 will fit some people have even fit a 265 with a 10.5 on 22"s.

I know trust me I used google and this forum's search feature to read threads about M's on 22s till I was I got carpal tunnel in my wrists... most people neglect to write tire size and the widest rim I've seen anyone put on the front is a 22x9 and that's on a RWD so they usually have a staggered setup. I'm not so lucky. :naughty: Thanks for the replies though I'll probably be ordering tonight !!! I'll post pictures when it's done :bigthumb:
