Wheel Fit Question

LOOONGGG TIME lurker.. (lol on my second M now)

I have some 20x10 et20's laying around and want to use them this coming winter. But my test fit has them poking out a few more MM"s than I'd like. Does any one have this setup on a stock height rig? Will it always poke or my non tire-d test fit flawed?

Generally, if it's poking out, you already know it's not going to work/be safe without some additional modification to get the wheels to tuck.

Specifically, i am running 20 x 10.5 that started out at i believe 25et (and they did not fit at all) on my '06 I had to pull fenders and dial in like -3* camber. On my current '09 I had the wheels modded to an et of about 37 or so and they fit with no additional changes, I do have a slight negative camber, but not more than -1* or so, but even without that they'd be fine.
