Hello,

First off, I am very well aquainted with the search function and have put it to use, however this combo is odd, I have little time to decide on this (within the next day) and want some assistance if possible. This is for a 96 s14, the rims are all 17x8, the fronts are +20mm offset 5.24" backspace , and for the rear +12mm, 4.95" backspace.

I know it will simulate a stagger set..but will it look odd or do any of you forsee probs with those offsets..want to get a flush look if possible, But want to avoid rubbing.

I have a 300zx brake upgrade ready to install, I know the spoke design clears them, but not sure of coilovers. I have a rsr race springs and agx's ready to go on as well, but may jump on the k2 group buy..so that is a consideration to factor in.

So that about spells it out..please offer some eduacated guidance

Thanks to all that respond

why would you stagger offsets for identical wheel sizes(8" wide) since it doesnt buy you any additional handling? in fact, it would provide only disadvantages that I can see:-poor handling due to messed up centerlines relative to suspension travel(messing with offsets exremely like those rears do this)-lack of rotation ability

I would just get the 17x8 +20 all around, since that will fit both front and rear on an s14, there's nor eason to mess the offsets up unless you have clearance issues or different widths between axles.-chet

The set is custom made, why that sizing was chosen I do not know. It's is a set and those are the only size for rears, I wasn't sure what the effects of the offests would have on handling..ect. so I posed the question. I can pass on them, but they are at a really good price so wanted to inquire with others more qualified to answer my concerns. I was hoping for equal offsets, but have seen others with differing offsets front and rear before and didn't know how these numbers stacked up in comparison.

pass on them they wont do your car any good. (unless you love the look of those low ofsets in the back so much you can replace hub/wheel bearings and deal with poorer handling)-chet

If you are looking for a flusher look in the rear, get 17x8s up front and 17x9 in the rear that way you can fit bigger tires in the rear ( more traction more power transferred to the pavement) and with the stock body of the s14 you can fit tires as big as 265 or 275 in the rear without them rubbing the body.. the front i think you can not fit anything bigger than 235 . cuz i have 225's up front and they are pretty flushgood luck searching for tires and rimms :-) if you are in bay area i know a couple of really good dealers who'd hook you up.

baka. wider tires do not mean greater contact patch. search around.....and tire fitment depends on wheel size, offset and the width of the fenders(flared, etc)...
