hey guys, just wondering about the best/appropriate cleaner for the first gen. wheels. mine are pretty dirty, but i think there are certain products to look for and ones to steer clear of.have used the wax to clean wheels in the past with good results. seems to create a surface that is tougher for dirt/dust to cling to.also assuming the Q has clearcoat? thanks, jeff

I'm a big fan of the Zymol wheel cleaner. it does a great job on brake dust and helps keep the dist from sticking post cleaning.

You've got to be helpful with most wheel cleaners, most are too caustic and will damage the finish of the plastic caps.

I've used Eagle One or Turtle Wax brand wheel cleaner. Both work, but you need to use a brush too.

Pepboys sells a gray brush with a blue handle that fits perfect.

Lots of work, though.. I only clean my wheels with brush once every 2 months.

The high pressure spray at DIY car wash places works great with cleaner.
