I'm having a hard time getting rid of some stubborn oxidation on my Vertini Hennessy stainless lip.

What are you guys using to make your stainless lip wheel look like new?

Interesting enough my latest Hot Rod magazine just did a test of four polishing compounds....

- Mother's PowerCone
- Meguiar's metal polish / one-step foam pad cleaner
- Black Magic Bullet
- 3M Wheel Restoration kit

Conclusion: for overall ease, simplicity and lustrous shine, Mothers was first. Meguiars was a close second and Black Magic third. The 3M Wheel Restoration was great at killing all pits and finished with a deeper polished look but there are many steps and there are limited usage per kit.

Bottom line: Mothers gave the best shine, however, if your wheel isn't bad use any of the kits, for horrible wheels use 3M's kit followed by Mothers.

one thing you have to double check first is does vertini clear the wheels..
use the mag polish and test on a small non visible spot when u rub it should come off black..
if it doesnt come off black the wheels are probably coated and you would need to treat it as paint
