I bought an '08 G35 Journey on 4/16/11 with 47,000 miles that was put in service on 2/29/07. Therefore I bought an Infiniti Elite extended warranty to go to 120,000 miles or 12/29/15. The car now has 60,100 miles on the clock. On condition of purchase I had the front wheel bearings replaced due to a roaring noise from the left front. The noise has returned, however the local Infiniti dealer maintains the bearings are OK. Since the Elite agreement covers wheel bearings should I investigate further? Is there a check of the bearings that I could do? Do the earlier Gs have chronic wheel bearing problems? Any info will be appreciated. Thank you.

With the front of the car elevated, jacks and jack stand, grab each wheel and check it for radial and axial play. Thats in and out and up and down. There should be no play. Also rotate it and listen for metal on metal sounds. You'll hear some noise from the brakes, but a lot of noise is sign that further inspection is in order.
