Wheel Bearing/Hub replacement BENT???

I bought a bearing replacement for my 97 (front end) and there is a circular metal plate on the axel end. The plate is bent on one side at a 45 degree angle... is this correct? or did I get a bad part?

Strangely the box is in PERFECT shape so it had to come like this from the factory.
