well i changed it myself, it seemed very easy ,take the brakes off ,then axle nut and the four bouts in the back .but now i have a ticking sound at about 45mph and up ,was told it could be the pin that goes through the axle nut. so i will let everyone know what i find out.if anyone has any input on what they think it could be let me know?

Probably just the Tinnerman pin like you said. Go back in and clamp it down real well.

May I ask what symptoms you had that made you think to replace the hub bearings? I recently changed both of my front bearings, wondering if we had similar issues.

When I would make right turn it would make a intermittent sound ,you could here it real well getting on and off the freeway.the sound I have now was my mistake,I put the brake dust cover on backwards and it was touching the rigor.

Do you mean rotor? Just asking because I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't know what a rigor was

I got ran off the road not long after I got my new tires, after I had the two replaced I now have a hum sound at 55 mph (goes away above or below that but comes back at 80 mph again only). Anyways, it is a slow hum heard through the right front in about 1 second intervals. It is weird, I have worked on cars my whole life and can't for the life of my think what it is that spins at 55mph that slowly. Anyone have any ideas? Only think I can think of is something bearing wise in that left front like a cv or something. Our old 4x4 truck had a cv go out but it was a constant sound that got louder one way and quieter that other. This sound does get a little louder turning one way and quieter the other which is what gives me the suspicion of a cv but...
