Set Up:

Velox 18 x 7.5 Wheels all aroundBrand new Falken 912 (225/40/18) Tires20mm PDM wheel spacers (front)25mm PDM wheel spacers (rear)

So:

I went and got my new tires mounted and balanced yesturday. Only to notice that my car is now shaking like a *****. Shakes at low speeds around 40km/h and 80km/h. I would not go over 80km/h because it was too bad. The shop I went to seemed to be reputable and the owner also owned an s13 with over $130k in parts alone and sits at around 550hp at the rear wheels. Anyways

The tires were supposibly balanced, but what I think happened is when they mounted them the wheel spacers might not have been centered correctly, screwing it up. Anybody have this problem in the past? Any idea's etc?

also we had it up on the hoist and you could see when the wheels were spun the slight "wooble" in a couple of the tires. The wheels do not seem warped in any way so I dont think it could be that and the tires are brand new. They have a wire feed on the sideway too.

I"m guessing your spacers are not bolt on how much of a spacer are you running .If your running more then a 15mm you should have bolt on or atleast have extended studs .Now with that said ,if you have it on a life why dont you just take off your wheels and see if the spacer isnt the problem .

Yea well its a combination of the spacer (20mm and 25mm on rear) and the studs. The studs were just spot welded into the back of the hub when I got it...and i just noticed it now as I just changed my tires. As soon as the wheels came off...those little spot welds fell right apart. Somebody did a ****ty and cheap job. The studs are just free flowing and are not the correct type for this application. I now know that I need to get extended studs, and I have heard of something alone the lines of a Hub Centric plate that sits on your wheel to make sure it is centered corrected.

Can you recommend an extended stud and this centric plate thing I keep hearing about?

Thanks guys
