Well guys one of my next investments will be some drag radials. I have some welds right now doing a 5 lug conversion. I'm trying to pick my tire size.

My friend Steve who is a v8 nut is knocking me upside the head to get 275/50R15 in the back of the notch. Personally i think 275 is over kill. I like 255 instead, that way I won't be landing the rear quarters in the tires if I don't have a strong rear suspension. I know I'm getting the MT's Street ET's for tires, I want to be able to hook and go. s13rb25 pulls the damn wheels off the ground with a welded rear diff and 8" slicks but I might want to go bigger. thanks for any input guys.

I actually got a deal on some american racing wheels. The 5 star with rivets in them. They stick out just a lil bit unless I get a lower backspacing to get them to go farther in more. Either way they are some big wheels and I shouldn't have a problem getting them in there. i'm just scared that when I launch It'll bottom the fender right on the wheel. Ouch thats when I need a stiffer susp in the back.

what size wheels do you have now?? 17"x9" + 255/45/17 is optimal...but i would like to try 275 series on the s13 though.

Holy FOOK! I would imagine you can hook up. How is that 1 inch backspacing though? It should be sticking way out.... yeah 275's will work for me

I have a friend who has a KA-T and he runs only 235 BFG Drag Radials and can launch at 4500rpm without warming them up and only chirps them. He is also making around 300rwhp.

Yeah I want to be able to launch pretty hard, so I think 275 will work for me. I got a deal on some BFG drag radials so thats what I'm gonna be going to. Either that or some MT ET streets, I heard those things grip like a *****. Are those 10.5's tucking!? If they are I should be able to tuck some 275's since they are only 10" wide... did you roll your fenders yourself? How does your rear end and axles hold up to the abuse?-Alex

Curious on how much that setup cost you (rims and slicks) also where did you get those rims?

I run 255/40's on the back on a 17x9 +15 wheel, wish I'd gone for a +20 or 25 instead, then I could run a 275 probably (this is on an s14 of course).

I have my fenders rolled so they don't rub anymore, but I can still break them loose easily; probably because they're Hankook's tho.

http://www.bogartracingwheels.commy wheels were 355 each.. but the Flystars are like 250 each.. the M&Hs were 350shipped..

yes i rolled the fenders my self with a fender roller.. and the rear end i had in the car was a GTS-t LSD and axles.. they held up just fine to numours launches.. just kinda have to slip out the clutch... dont dump the the clutch and you will be just fine
