looking to buy 20" wheels by XIX or similar in staggered. the set up is 20*8.5 front 38 offset and 20*10 40 offset. the tires are 245/35/20 and 275/30/20., problem is one place that i called said that would fit but it would probably rub and damage the tires. someone here posted a while back that anywhere from 35 to 45 offset would work but this is 10 inches wide back. thanks for any advice

The new M35's and M45's need pretty high offset values (see the stickies in this forum for the information). If your wheels have too low an offset, you are almost certain to have contact with the fenders since the tires will stick out a bit. The 38mm and 40mm you are looking at, may well fall into that category.

I.e., it is best if you get the correct offset wheels to begin with! Also, be careful about the load index ... many 20" tires do not have the values needed for the M! And, in most cases, the right load index and speed rated 20" tires will be pretty expensive.

Personally, I would rather spend (the spare money designated for new wheels) on the best tires I could get and stick with the stock Infiniti M 35 wheels. But that is just my humble opinion!

yeah thats a wide wheel/tire.

your going from a 8.5(19") to a 10 and a 245 to a 275?

stock offset is a 47mm(18")/50mm(19")?

I know someone who is running a 20x10 in the rear. 3.5 inch hoop on the front and a 6.5 hoop on the rear...thats for 3 piece wheels...you need to convert the offset to find the specs for a 1 piece wheel. If you want to contact him, let me know and i will give you his e mail.

I am running 22x8.5 up front and 22x9 rear and have the staggard offset...no rubbing and love the look. 20x10 is overkill for the power of the M...stick with a 9 or 9.5 so you dont have to worry about rubbing.
