I have two options I'm currently looking at:

JIC Magic:

17 x 8 / 5 x 114.3 / +38mm / Silver

or

Falken Hanabi's:

17 X 9 / 5 x 114.3 / +20

Obviously the choice with the +20 offset would make more sense right? Well here is the thing that is bothering me.. I can get the JICs for $149 each, tire package for $1099 mounted with hardware etc. The Falken's will be $1500 with the same tires. Is the +15 offset worth the $400? I can't make up my mind, I like both. I figured I'd ask guys that know 240's a little more intimately.

I have a 1995 240SX for the record.

Can't you get the JIC wheels with a better width and offset? Or is that the other style wheel that they make that has the better specs? The JIC wheels would look better on an S14 IMO. The Falken wheel is a nice choice for the S13. Just my two cents.

Hmm. I wasn't sure if the JIC's would fit the look of an S14 without looking really cheap or something.

The JIC wheels offered are only available with that offset unfortuantly :\.

Well in that case, I'd have to say pass on both and wait for something better. There was a thread about some MB wheels (not the weapons) that looks pretty good and were for 5 lug apps. and had good sizes/offsets.

the falkens are a have to be a lower offset bc their an inch wider. I would get the falkens rather then a spacer for the jic's and i wouldnt buy a higher end wheel thats less that 9 inches wide imo.

IMO the Jics look better than the Falkens.

Yeah imo the JICs would look way better especially on the s14. But go with whatever you like.

Found the thread! zerothread/319753

check those out. scroll down to the S14 kouki pics and the R32 pics for the sick size/offsets. That would be an awesome cost effective opiton, and they will look sick on your car.

The shop I'm ordering the rims from has told me that the Falken's are a bit "iffy" because of their size and offset they may have trouble clearing the struts?

Any insight on that situation?

17x9 +20 should fit up front, and it will definitely fit in the back. If you have coilovers the front may be close.

I wouldn't get those even if they do fit. Did you check out the MB Battles? $140 for 18x8.5 +30 and $180 for 18x9.5 +23 through http://www.discounttiredirect....=true . That is where it's at man!

here's my .02 on the matter:

Aesthetically wise... I'd prefer the JIC's over the Falken wheels...

but

with the size options you've provided, the Falkens obviously have a better offset and fitment than the JIC's.

and let me just add, the reason why most people like those JIC's is because of the "concave" look that they give.... but with an 8" +38... don't expect that kind of look (at least, the pic that you provided don't look remotely like they'd be an 8" + 38. The possition of the face looks more closer to a +10 or something)

youll have more problems fitment wise with the jics than the falkens, youll have no problem with falkens

*however* you should shoot whoever told you that thats the only size the jics come in:

http://www.jic-magic.com/ViewP...ID=81

im pretty damned sure thats a lot more sizes than 17x8 +38

id say 17x9 +15 all around would look great, and if youre interested in a stagger you could run the 17x10 +20 or even better the 18x9.5 +12 out back

hell you could run the 18x9.5 +12 all around and itd look awesome
