Hey guys, quick question, I want to run wheels with the following specs:

Size: 16X7

Bolt Pattern: 4X100 and 4X114.3 (4.5")

Offset: +38mm

My car is pretty much stock (1997 base model) except I have KYB AGX shocks on it. My question is, if I run these wheels, is there a spacer that I can run to make them flush with the fender? If so, what size? Would there be any clearance issues in terms of the brake assembly or anything? Thanks.

Are there any drawbacks to running a spacer that wide?

not really, as long as it is quality. I still would never fully trust it though, and certainly wouldn't track it, although many many people do without issues.

You really shoudl buy wheels that fit well instead of making them fit.

I don't really have any problems with spacers but 30mm is a bit much. On a 7" with 38 offset you could do a 10-15mm.

Uhh, no. A 10mm spacer would be an effective 7"+28, which is still a really bad size. Spacers in general suck, but if you are gonna run them, why run some retardedly small ones that won't make a difference?
