Im curious, my q is a 99.5, ive got the sexy dark grey leather interior. If i could have it any other way it would be black inside. Im curious, was the dark grey available only in 99.5/2000? I noticed alot of q's with grey dash but beige leather...were the designers at infiniti high?

I'd blame the bean counters before the designers.

I have dark grey velour on my '01 SE, and I wouldn't have leather (wet divesuits and dog claws). I'm starting to think about PF #4, and some of the stuffthat's available only on the LE is interesting, but the LE's have leather. Andthey still haven't put that nice six-speed in the PF.

Mid grey cloth seats. Not a dark charcoal colour, but not a light grey either. Black dash.

As long as the interior is dark or grey, I'm happy. Not too concerned about cloth versus leather, though heated leather seats would be nice in a Canadian winter. Unfortunately, every R50 Pathfinder with leather seats that I saw also had a sunroof. I was too tall for all the sunroof-equipped Pathys, I had to tilt my head sideways to fit in.

Black leather seats and black carpet. A-pillars, B-pillars, overhead handles, headliner, and sun visors were stock gray but I've re upholstered the headliner black, painted the a-pillars and b-pillar handles black and I'm working on the sun visors now. I added a driver's side overhead handle and kept both plus the back seat handles gray because I like the contrast.

I disagree with your comment about the leather. My two dogs go with me a lot and I swim frequently so I get in with a wet suit 3-4 times a week. The great thing about leather is that I can make it spotless in 5 minutes with a damp paper towel. All of the hair and footprints come right off. My pickup and Jeep have stained seat covers and hair stuck all over the interior.

I dive frequently as well and in the same conditions as Chuck. So far after 5 years of wetsuits, drysuits, camera gear, dive bags and such haven't torn up the leather of my QX4 which still looks new.

I have to agree with Chuck, the gray "velour" shows absolutely no wear and usually any staining can be removed with a wash cloth and some warm water. I also love how the sport seats have the "vented" fabric, it makes my back and a** much less sweaty when I have the windows down.

My 98 Q has the grey dash and grey leather which still looks great. I haul my dogs around alot, so my seats get dirty and they wipe clean easily.

Mine is beige. I must be one of the few with beige interior here, it seems.

Got tired of my all black monochrome interior, so I went back to the wrecking yard last month and took all the faux wood trim pieces from a 2001 LE that was there, and installed them in my Pathy. I like it better. Not so boring. Twenty bucks for the works. Not bad.

As an aside, the 2001 LE that is there hasn't been there that long, and it is still mostly complete, from the windshield back. The front end is gone (accident I presume), but the rest of it is perfect. I would have taken the heated leather front seats, but someone already took the driver's seat. Crap. (I also took the rubber weatherstripping from the front passenger door. Mine is starting to rip.)
Good pickins' all around.
