what is your imput on keeping or deleting everything that has to do with EGR on a OBDII 96 ka24det 240sx???

i hear i should delete to free space and it doesnt matter it is on besides for emissions which i dont have where i live!?

Then i hear that its good to keep it to keep the motor from detonating!?

Whats your imput, OBDII is a lot harder to deal with than OBDI s13's or older s14's.

The more you can eliminate the possibility or having a vacuum, or boost leak the better. As for removing all that stuff. It's not really the fact of improving performance. It's more for a cleaner look, and also diagnostic purposes.

Think about it the less mechanical parts, or any parts that can cause problems the easier it is to avoid a problem, or diagnose a problem. I say go ahead and do away with it.

But also think about the fact, that if at anytime you wanna sell your car, the crowd that has emissions but not be really interested in looking at it unless you put it all back on.

the only vacuum lines i have are for the FPR and the brake booster. the boost gauge is "t"ed off the FPR and the BOV gets it's signal from the brake booster.
