Thrwnsprkz: Learning to Fly...Tom Petty or Pink Floyd? Both did a song with that title. Both are high up on my list.
I don't have an order, but any Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd or Lynrd Skynrd is great for driving. I also listen to a lot of Korn while driving.
Learning to Fly, Running Down a Dream, Mary Jane's Last Dance, Refugee, Makin' Some Noise, Mind with a Heart of it's Own, Love is a Long Road. All good Tom Petty driving songs.
Zeppelin: pretty much anything, but especially The Immigrant Song, When the Levee Breaks, Over the Hills and Far Away, Ramble On, Stairway to Heaven (of course), Black Dog, Kashmir, Rock and Roll (Cadillac's ad campaign with that song was pure genius). But again...almost any Zeppelin works.
Deep Purple: Smoke on The Water...oh yeah! Child in Time (if you don't know which song that is...go watch "Twister." The song that the insane dude plays in the school bus during the driving scene where they all have music on...that's a very small part of Child in Time), Space Truckin', Highway Star (one of the greatest driving songs EVER, I have always wanted to see Nissan do an ad campaign using this song. Check out the lyrics and you'll see why). Lots of others as well, but I don't feel like listing them all.
One I forgot to mention at the top: Jethro Tull. Cross Eyed Mary, Locomotive Breath. Tons of good Jethro Tull for driving.
I could go on and on...but I won't.
