It's really a matter of personal preference, but as a starting point if your in an S chassis you should -3 to -4 degrees of camber and 0 degrees or very slight toe out in front. 0 to -1.5 degrees camber and 0 degrees to slight toe in on the rear. As far as caster in front that is really a matter of experience with drifting, cuz some like them pulled foward and some like them pushed back. Pulling them foward you run into binding problems with the tie rods and the danger of the tie rod going over center/locking. Pushing them back you lose steering feel and you need more effort to move the wheel.

Dampening is also a matter of preference, on my car I have KTS coilovers, my settigs right now are 11 in front and 10 in back. However the dampening is different on all of them, so you will need to play with the settings until you get comfortable with the car. I started out in the middle on both front and rear, but eventually found that the front being a bit stiffer worked best for me.

keep in mind these are just some basics, there is a lot more that I am not explaining but this should get you through for now. Also I know that many will say this and that about the settings I talked about, again Im only telling you a basic starting point to use until you find what you like.

there is nothing wrong with ksport coilovers

you dont need a 2000$ coilover because you wont be good enough to take advantage of it, and will have no idea what the adjustments are going to do to the cars handling with drifting until you have a ton of experience.

do NOT buy ebay suspension pieces. spend the money and get GOOD stuff. ive seen that garbage fail on a track and the results could be deadly.

and toe out in the front? why? that makes the car wander at high speeds. you run 0 toe or a small amount of toe in up front.

in the rear if you want more traction you run toe in, if you want more oversteer for easier initiations you run toe out.

Thanks Kamin, Nico resident pro drifter! The reason I was talking about slight toe out in the front is just for better turn in response since he is new, again like I said the majority of it is personal preference in how the driver likes the way the car handles. Plus I was only talking about at most 1/8" toe out so that would be 1/16" on each side. The fact he is new is also why i said to run slight toe in on the rear so it would be easier to control the car at this early stage of learning.

As for the ebay suspension parts Kamin is right, spend the money on good parts. I have seen my share of those parts fail, mainly due to the heim joints or the welds.

it is without a doubt VERY much driver specific. i have my own little alignment settings that took me years to come up with and perfect

then i threw them all out the window when i put the LS1 in hahaha.

Indeed placement, weight and center of gravity have a lot to do with how the car handles. As I am now finding out with my car due to the new motor swap and lower mounts.

Well I have megan streetsTein inner outter tie rodsPowered by max rear camber arms

And I'm going 13 in the front and 17 in the back for damper.

I just put them on, and wanna get used to them....

Next when I get some better wheels/tires ill adjust the camber and toe and caster.

I don't drift, so I'm not too worried about that setting yet...
