Need to be specific. With the engine fully warmed up, the transmission in D, your foot on the brake and no alternator or AC running should be about 650 rpms.
Will be higher in Park, Neutral, at lower engine temperatures or with accessories ON.
Idle screw adjustment is just low enough for the automatic controls to do their job, but high enough to keep things running if the automatic control system fails.
