I just got a wrecked 350z that im using as a donor car for a vq35 swap into a 240sx. the reason i got the whole car was that i wanted to use a slot of 350z pieces, like the guages and driveshaft, and diff, guages, etc etc...

i was wondering what you guys know about these steats. I think they might be heated, but i havent rellay fiddled around with them yet.

The main question I had was in regards to airbags. I heard that some 350z seats have airbags in them, but I am not sure if these ones do... didnt notice any obvious indications of airbags...

anyone know how heavy they are?you guys think they do a good job holding you in? im about 5"11" 150lbs...

The buttons below the shifter indicate they are heated seats. There is no tag on the seat to say they have side air bags, but I could be wrong. The Seats in the Z are some of the most wonderful seats ever. They are actually made to fit people comfortably from a 5'6" driver to a 6'3" driver.

Yea it looks as if your seats do NOT have airbags. The airbags are on the side of the seat, mine have them so I know what they look like. I m also 5'11 around 190 and they hold me in just fine. Post up some pics when you get your car completed.

thats good to hear, i didnt want to be dragging around the extra weight of airbags (even though they probably dont weigh that much) because I obviously wouldnt be hooking them up. And the black should look good with my car.

I will definately be posting some pics of the build once it gets underway.

its a 2008 with 8000 miles and i paid 6800 for it.

it's actually in pretty good shape. I plan on selling a lot of stuff off of it... i figure for a trans and ecu and bcm and engine with this low of miles would be about 3500-4500, and this way i get the driveshaft and diff and gauge cluster and seats and a nice bose radio...

dont know if itll turn out to be cheaper this way or not, but we shall see....

It doesnt look that bad at all. As long as its not a salvage title, you should restore and drive it instead

I will definately be selling off a lot of parts. I havent actually been able to get started on the project yet since my dads shop is the only place I have access to that has enough equipment to do the kind of work im planning on doing here, and since its halfway across the country, it presents a little conflict with my full-time job.

I woldnt say the car is un-repairable, but it would be a major challenge to get it right because the entire frame is bent. You cant necissarily tell from the pictures, but the front end got hit so hard, it actually bent the roof panel.

The wheels and tires will be sold, as will the doors (im not sure if the driver side door has any damage or not), most of the interior, the glass, suspension pieces, body panels.... etc

I will let all you guys in the 35oz forum know when i start getting parts off the car. I also need to look around the net a bit to find out what the fair prices for these things would be.
