do you only notice this in your car? or if you're in another person's car (and you're driving), do you notice this then as well? roads are usually made to let rain run off to the sides, instead of staying in the road, stagnant. so like, if you're in the right-most lane, your car might pull to the right a little, because the road's actually... tilted? slanted? and if you're in the left-most, the car might pull left. most roads are ****ty as hell here, so i'm ALWAYS battling road issues. it's the only thing i can think of, unless your alignment is poor, but usually that'll make the car pull in one direction, regardless of the road; it won't pull left, then right, then left, or whatever. or if you have a lowered car, sometimes that'll taint your alignment, and you'll notice bad wear on the inside of one of the front tires. again, this is an alignment thing, and it'd only pull to one side.
my best guess is it's just a road-thing, and i advise you to not fall asleep driving.
one time, for fun, i was cruising at about 80-90 km/h, empty road, middle of the night, and i just let the wheel go to see what it'd do. i let the wheel go pretty often, just to see how my car reacts.... does it freak out and try to hit the guardrails, or does it stay centered.. w/e. again, picture the road surface being more round-ish than flat; i was on the inside lane of a wide turn, and i let the wheel go. the car turned with the turn perfectly. when the road straightened a bit, my car went with it without any input from me. eventually this stopped working, but it was kind of neat.
