Smart move taking care of the maintenance and wear items first, but you've got to throw your inner rice boy a bone every now and then, that's why I have a buddy club spec II exhaust, its been keeping my ricer fantasies satisfied for over 4 years now.
I realize that he doesnt want me to get caught up in a money pit but its the fact that he basically called me an idiot for wanting to do something like this. and thank you for your input on the other postSX APPEAL wrote:Hey man, actually just got done posting in your other thread, wish I had seen this one first lol. I probably sounded more like your dad than.. your dad lol. Btw try to be a little more understanding about his "unsupportive a**" cause most likely he just doesn't want you to get caught up in a big dead end moneypit. And you don't have to look through very many build threads on this board (my own included) to see how many 240's end up just that way, so his concern is justified. Anyway for 5K you can probably do everything you listed there, basic maintenance, decent suspension, wheels/tires, maybe a splash of paint. Just don't overdo it, cause you WILL spend more than you thought you would, I promise you that. Also take into account how much time its going to take to get all that done and where you're going to do it, like I said in the other thread. Otherwise, good luck.
