Tried to look at the wiring diagrams but I couldnt find out what it is. Saw it the day after I got it, ran fine for almost a year, dropped a cylinder today. Havent pulled plugsor anything yet, had to get back to work, but wondering if this could be the culprit.

I'm not positive, but from the looks of it, it is the wire that controls the aiv solenoid - the one connected to lil resonator box there.... maybe, I'm just guessing since it's near that area.

Well crap, found out its a dropping resistor, for an auto trans. But I have a manual. Anyone do a swap and unhook or loop this thing?

that does not look like the dropping resistor to me. that looks like a joint connector. thats where a bunch of wires are run together on a common bar that caps the connector off. basicly a fancy pants nissan splice.
