I think the Z32 T35 is smaller than the SR T25. I'd be careful about running too much boost with it. AceInHole hit 275whp with a SR T25 (maybe T28??) at 13-14psi. I wouldnt run any more boost than that. I'm sure its making A LOT of heat at that point.300whp might be tough for that turbo. A Z31 T3 (60trim, 0.63AR) may be a better option for your built motor.

300whp is impossible with that turbo.

I'd be amazed if you hit 250whp with that turbo. It belongs on GA's.

this may be off subject but is 14-15 psi about all you get out of a t25?

Anything over that on a KA is out of its effeciency range. You will be making way more heat than power. A T28 should be good for a little more than a 25.

Junkyard, Ebay, Buy/Sell/Trade forum...

It should do 250whp with no problem. 300whp is a good goal for the Z31. It wont be easy, but I think its do-able at ~15psi.

fastpace has a T3 with a good fuel setup. He was tying to dyno it this spring, but i havent seen any charts yet. His setup can give you an idea of what a T3 can do.

Z32 turbo is probably good for about 200 whp max, as tt z's push a max of about 400 whp with 2 of them.

No, it needs a T3 flange. What kinda manifold do you have now? You may be able to just put a T3 flange on it. If its a bottom mount, I dont know if the Z31 turbo will fit.

THe T3 will have more lag than the T25, but it still spools up fast. Some people say its too small even, so its not a 'big' turbo at all. The T25 would have a hard time holding boost (~15psi) til redline. The T3 does a little better, but it still might have issues up top.

I dont know what shape your motor's in, but I dont think you need to rebiuld for 300whp. Are you doing OEM rebuild? But if youre spending the money for forged pistons, etc, you might want to go with a new turbo.

Z31 T3 specscomp 0.60AR, 60 trimturbine 0.63AR, stg 1 (67 trim)

Running anything more than 12 psi on a KA with a T25 is out of it's efficiency range.

Flow does not equal PSI.

im not building oem build, it's being upgraded to handle 300hp+ but i like drifting and i dont want turbo lag i ,need power fast and i also want to have a high in turbo that will keep pulling til red line you think t3 could do that cause my current turbo set up starts pulling and full boost at 2000k rpm if the t3 could do that or atleast 2500k rpm then i'll be happy with it but i think it has to do with the way the manifold is set up mine current one is what people call "Log" style manifold so jgs tools is one of that kind but the one in my car is not as good air flow as the one from jgs tools so what you think?

i am thinking of a JGS tools manifold cause it's cheaper

JGS is a good option. $265 with external WG flange, but you have to weld the WG and turbo outlet flanges.

Everybody wants fast spool up with a great top end. But you have to make some compromises.

I dont remember hearing when a Z31 T3 spools (3000rpm for 15psi would be my guess). Depending on what youre willing to spend, a BB turbo would help spool up. Garrett GT series are expensive, but the way to go if you want less of a compromise between lag and top end. The Disco Potato (GT28RS) claims it's good for 250-320 hp (and uses a T25 flange). GT28R claims slightly less (200-280hp).

Non BB T3 (cheaper, more lag, good topend)ball bearing T28 or T3 sized turbo ($$, less lag, similar top end)

BTW, Ive never turboed a car before, so consider that when taking my advice. This info comes from my research on the net and NICO.

Z31 turbo has to be bottom mount (well bottom side really) due to the internal wastegate. I tried forever to top mount, just won't work. Look at crazycav86's setup, that is what he is using.
