if its like the ka ... and im sure other nissan engines ... its an error code. so for example, my ka threw me a code of 41, which is the air intake temp sensor.

yes it could possibly be...we(the shop and i are gonna hook up the check engine light tomorrow, as well as the landometer(however its said), also gonna check the coilpacks, and hook up a diagnostic tool that is similar to consult 1 and will run the diagnostics on it...but its not the same as a ka as far as the knob thing that u turn to get the code because the knob on the 25 ecu sets the idle that i know for sure, but i think at increments of 50rpm's...

any other ideas...???

but yea seriously, it's definately not even in the 14 second range for the quarter...and dont get me twisted, i much rather turn but if u cant go fast on the straights! whats the use cause u jus get reeled in!! and thats why i got the rb...its suppose to run 13's in the s14...based on mckinney!! and all my stuff is bought through mckinney except the radiator, clutch, fans an fuel pump...so its not the parts im using and im running at the stock boost levels...we turned it up to 12 jus to see if it could be the clutch...GO SPEC...but the engine like bogged down and was actually slower...

yup, sounds like a boost leak somewhere. start by checking all your IC piping clamps.

i struggle with this all the time in my talon. it sucks.

all right well, ill address that first then go on to the rest of the test we about to do...ummm, so is it suppose to be off?? cause i notice wit the light it comes on and off, whenever...so dont know whats goin on...and it seems as if its about the same as far as power wheather the light is on or off...i.e. no traction problems in second or FIRST!!

alright well today we were testing some stuff and i had major boost leak around where my BOV flange was welded on...thats the only and last time i let a friend that "knows" how to weld do this...o well live and learn...boost leak fixed...still no fixed!!

the car is still as powerful or lack there of as it was, i jus assume the turbo just isnt working as hard as it used to...ima start a new thread...but so far the red light has not come on...

Boost leaks are the demons of any turbo application, i fixed the boost leaks on my RB25DET and took it for a spin on 12 pounds and it was fast as hell.
