i was just wondering if anyone could helpme figure out the problem with my car.

i just rebuilt my engine and everything was going fine.but now that there are about 2000 miles on the motor my carmisses from about 2k -4.5k rpms.

sometimes it is really bad when im at 1/2 throttle the car stalls so bad that it will not go anywhere and will loosespeed untill i push the pedal to the floor.

a couple of weeks ago the car overheated because my water pump was leaking but i put another on it.

but now my temp gauge fluctuates.any help would be much appreciated.

How much does it fluctuate? Have you considered that maybe you have an air bubble in there somewhere?

I dont know **** though. Free bump.

did you get the timing right when you rebuilt it? Sound like you didnt match the head witrh the pistons or something. If it gets too bad your car will overheat like crazy, or you will smash your valves against the pistons...

how bad/long did the car overheat the first time?

the temperature gauge fluctuation sounds like you still have air in the cooling system. bleed the system again.

i will try bleeding the system again.

it just started acting like this out of no where.even with the car doing this all things considerd it is running ok. but like i said it dies off until about 4k and thenpicks up.the best way to describe how it picks up is like vtec on a honda.

There is a screw somewhere back there on one of the coolant passages that you loosen and it allows the air to escape while you add coolant. Just an idea...Also, this is just another idea but is it possible maybe you got some spark plug wires switched around or something? I don't even know what this would do... I'm not trying to make you sound stupid, just an idea.
