I scored a nice KA24DE swap, and my friends going to use it in his car with the following stuff:

S14 T28550cc injectorsEnthalpy tuned ECUZ32 MAFsome fmicSSauto manifold, ceramicoatedcustom 3" turboback.

The type of car its going into will remain secret untill its finished. But its not a 240sx or even a nissan heheh...

Can this setup hit 300whp on a KA? Please post some theoretical numbers and insights. He's pretty set on 550cc injectors and the T28 turbo as they're cheap for us.

have fun tryign to hit 300rwhp on that turbo.Don't think you can get it past 260. Ecu tuned is major + for being safe. SSautochrome. Can't beleive your trying to push 300rwhp out of it...Hope it doesn't get sucked into your turbo. 550cc good for your goal...

if it will only put out that much maybe we can just use SR 370cc injectors and a hacked maf setup and save even more money. This is kindof a low budget thing.

Yea 370'ss will be fine for that. what you got for control? You got a safc? Or still goign to get ecu tuned?Personally I forked over 260 for a safc and 350 for a wideband so I can tune myself. Because I plan to up the boost in the future. Also if weather changes I can correct my car again. They do great job on ECU tuning though and they know exactly what they are doing.

Also back on the fuel issue. Car was running really rich when first started her up.After I drove a mile it was fine again. A/F was in the very low 12's.Then once I started boost ing it was high 11.'s ON my run against the honda I dropped down into the 10's.(hit 9.8 for a second..could of been a glitch) Right now I have fuel added across the board..I can tell it's running rich even though it says my A/F is good..Going to recalibrate it. As the engine gets running smooth the cars runs rich. So pretty much I go back to stock setting on my safc. The walboro should be plenty to use on stock injectors.

for 300hp your going to need a bigger turbo, you probably could get 300hp out of a s15 turbo but not a s14....

The S14 turbocharger will hit 300whp if pushed, you are asking alot out of the turbo though, and it will crap out in a matter of months on the larger KA.

The 370's are not good for 300whp, they are good for 270whp tops. After that you are running extremely high duty cycles and inviting engine failure.

So probably a good T28 setup would be 1 bar of boost, 370cc and hacked maf. Should be around 250-270whp. Any guesses on when it would spool? I'm thinking 2500-2800rpms.

there should b virtually no lag on that size turbo. ur rpms that u posted is where u would be getting full boost. i would suggest 550 still as you will have that extra margin for error.

i bet you could find your answer in a 4 min search ... it would have been much faster then waiting for us to tell you the same damn thing in about 500 other posts

get a bigger turbo, drop the ecu upgrade and go safc and upgrade the manifold with the ecu savings

Oh ok, search. Right. Show me one person running a T28, 550cc and enthalpy ECU that posts on here. such an ***.

Running 1 BAR on the KA is like running 18 PSI on the SR in terms of turbo stress.

Expect alot of power in the midrange but after 6000, you should start to feel the turbo running out of mojo.

Someone was running a T25 a while back (possibly Orion) with fairly surprising results. He didn't get 300hp to the wheels out of it, but by all accounts it was a hell of a fun ride and AFAIK it didn't blow up.

Still, looking at the compressor maps for a turbo that size, it certainly isn't a "safe" setup and will quickly be well out of its efficiency range. I really wanted to do something similar and did a ton of research, since it really does seem like a way to get a good budget setup with nearly instant spool up. After reading and reading, and worshipping at the altar of Corky Bell, I abandoned the idea.

Don't have the luxury of blowing up my daily driver...yet.
