Im running a high flow cat and N1 type exhaust on my car. Running the silencer at this time to keep the tone down. Thinking of taking the silencer off and adding a small glass packed exhaust in between. I'm going with Trush or Cherry Bomb. Any opinions on this..?? I heard they tend to fail early...

PS. Adding a resonator will not lower noise hardly at all, that's the reason of going with the glass-packed.

Glass packs are usually effective till about 6 months.

Resonators combined with a high flowing muffler works wonders dude, resonators help a lot.

Why don't you think a resonator would help? They're specifically made to reduce interior resonance and exterior exhaust decibels.Glasspacks where made by hot rodder's wanting to make more noise. Which has now been adopted by every other redneck with a truck. What resonator did you use?I had a resonated type II catback from Megan Racing and soon after got a non-resonated one (same).BIG difference for me. There's lots of cheap weld on ones out there, like Hushpower & dyno-max's.

Im going with past results of taking the OEM resonator off from a OEM full exhaust system. At that time the difference in overall noise was very minor, if any. But thanks for tips (pardo the pun... ) I will check into those specific models...
