Hmm, good question. I would check the weights of the infamous light wheels, like K1 and... and... well, thats the only one I can think of.

See http://www.wheelweights.com for weights...

Haha. Yea. "Weights"

Arnet those Rays wheels pretty light? The Gram Lights. Picked one up with the tire on it and it felt really, really light. Plus they are so damn sexy. The 57C's are only 18 punds.

There are probably other lighter ones though.

Now if you want to see some wheel weights...The real ones anyways. http://www.wheelspecs.com/specs/

Doesent have all, but it has enough.

Oh, didnt notice you were asking for 15's.

Those only weigh 13.5 lbs for the Grams. Pretty damn light.

volk te37 magnesium has to be one of them, its like a grand each lolthe cool part is you can get ray's to paint it bronze or an original color so you can have cool looks and light. but i think its pretty dumb throwing money like that. 4 grand for a set of wheels or 2grand for a regular set + a nice paint job?

15" Motegi Trak Lite's weight 10lbs each. I don't think they are outragously expensive either.

what the hell are you guys talking about lol. the only wheels that should be comming up in this thread are 1 peice forged mags.

kosei k1? castenkei rp01 (i think thats what you meant) no57c? why would you bring this up without even mentioning 57fs?dirt track rims obviously weigh a crapton being made from steel, i thought that would be a no brainer...motegi? hahaha note37 mags only come in 18" iircfc wheels, stock wheels are never light enough cause they have to take potholes

regular te37 is the closest to a legitimatley light wheel that has been listed so far.

if i was gonna get lightweight wheels id probably get p1qfs. but id never get thoes, cause they dont look cool, and my whole car is built around rice. i want nt03+s in super custom 18x12 size, or maybe 57pros.

Like I said. Convertible fc3s BBS wheels are 15x6.5 and 11 LBS w/a 40mm offset!!! In this case, I do know what the hell I'm talking about..oddly enough.

Charlie, the Gram lights don't lose much, if any weight from the forged to cast......

as far as lightest wheels?

OZ used to make a magnesium centered 3 peice wheel I got to look at on an mustang that on the scale at work weighed in at 9.6lbs....

15x9.

yeah....felt like it wasnt even there. For the reccord, my Gram Light 57C in 17x7.5 weighed 15.6lbs, with stem...

I think one wheel weights it shows them as being a bit more (16 or 17?), but I measured them anyways...anything under 1lb per inc diameter is impressive..since you have to use an increasing ammount of material to get the added diameter.

Charlie, once peice forged mags arent necissarily the lightes wheels or strongest either.....

BBS F1 wheels arne't magnesium. i've held one, in a 15x12 (IIRC) it weighed......

wait...

6lbs. I asked what it was amde of and the guy laughed. "Oh...a custom alloy" "not magnesium?""no..""then what is it""...do you relaly thin I'm going to tell you""no..but I was hoping"

Luckily the BBS headquarters is 40 minutes north of me

the TE37 is a bad-*** light wheel, the TE37 mag is wesome, but doesnt come in a 15", like charlie said....

although with enough money I'm sure you could convince VOLK to make you a set :p

Yeah, I think the front ones (tiny wheels, relatively) weighed in at 3lbs.....

I asked him if I could buy a set and get them made for my car..

"sure" he says,"how much would it cost for 4 in a 17x8 25mm offset""about 3200 dollars""for the set? sweet...."(yeah, you can see it comming)"no man, each wheel.....and thats just an estimate"

so yeah, for probably 13k you too can have super light strong F-1 worthy wheels.....

I'm hopefull going to apply/get a job for BBS once I finish my stuff in my current position -Chet

oh side note, light wheels- Ferrari F40 wheels were nice and light 3 peice forged
