Whats the general consensus on electric fans?

I did a little research and decided to use a tauras sho fan, and upon further research I was gonna use altima dual fans. But after I kept looking Im seeing back and forth opinions about keeping the stock fan over going electric. I no longer have the radiator shroud because it got chopped through by my stock fan. Someone also said I had the wrong fan installed.

I was gonna get my mechanic to install it and wire it, but how should I tell him to do it as far as when it should run?

To electric or not to electric, that is the question. (also how to wire it to work with altima dual fans).
