i don't believe the USDM Sr20s have a redtop valve cover, and the valvecover is of different dimensions, IIRC
well, it is out of the car, and the guy who sold it to my brother said the valve covers color was changed, it is grey, not red... Any more, cause i cant seem to make sure whether it is JDM or USDM.

is the transmission still attached to the block? transverse trannies are way shorter than RWD trannies. Also, take nismo freak's advice on the distro thing. SR20DETs came with a direct coil on plug ignition system, so they don't use conventional spark plug wires. that should be the big flag warning is if it has a distributor and plugs or an electronic sensor (located on the front right of the valve cover) and coil packs. (there will be no spark plug wires)

Um... How about a turbo????? US sr20's never came turbo. Just look at the exhuast side and if the manifold is stubby and has a few round things, then you know its turbo. If it is long, then no its a USDM.
BTW.... If you ask a question like this, you are already over your head. Im sorry, but please sell your motor, do your homework and then try again.
I suggest the movie The Money Pit (Tom Hanks)... it will teach you a valuable life lesson.

looking at a SR from the top
A FWD sr will NOT fit in a 240 without a bunch of modification. You would need so many parts off a RWD motorset you might as well just buy that and leave the FWD SR where it belongs.
