whats the difference?

between the s13 auto and manual speed sensor? i recently bought a car with a blown motor but its auto and the motor im putting in it is a 5 speed but the 5 speed sensor is shot. is it just the gear at the end thats different? any way i can rig it to work?

If I remember correctly, the entire plug and everything is different. You are better off finding a used 5 speed sensor.

Are you just replacing the motor or the motor and trans? I looked up this part this morning at NAPA.com and they list 2 seperate parts. One for the Auto and one for Manual. Manual one cost $184, Auto $156.

im taking one drive train (manual) and putting it in another car (auto) the auto car had the sensor on it still and the manual one is shot so i was wondering if i can rig the auto one to work with the manual transmission
