I'd say try the search, but just for anyone else who stumbles on this:

A test pipe is a straight pipe or a resonator that is bolted in place of a Cat. It contains no pollution control mechanisms (the catalysts in a cat) and is used to reduce back pressure.

Usually, it's illegal to use for regular road driving, as the car doesn't have the pollution control provided by a cat, but it's definitely used anyways.

Lamp basically summed it up for you.

And since youre in moval (well CA) like i am, it's illegal to have run a testpipe due to emission restrictions.

Lol uhhh... You can probably go to san bernardino and find a shop that does smogging. If your car fails the test you can probably slip in a 20 bill or so and they might negotiate. haha but thats non-legit :x

I smogged my 240 last week on waterman and barely passed. good luck

MOVAL FTW!

Not really.

Funny to see you guys talking about out "wonderful" city.

The idea of a meet in MV is kind of a joke. There's a large NICO one in SD on the 13th of next month. Email me if you want details.

I highly doubt $20 is going to cover them "overlooking" your test pipes. I think I paid $150 for my I30 because of my "illegal intake"

That was in San Bernardino too.

Stop polluting and being a cheap *** and get some hi-flows already!

Lol i see.

my 240 is alright besides the bad tie rods and control arm bushings.

i bought it with tokico blues on tanabe springs.

and hayshi racing 505 wheels. i need a job

and for the fact that having meets in moval is kind of a joke. if you mean meet as in local moval friends then thats fine.
