whats the difference in an SER and SpecV engine

Hoping for some help on this one. I have on 08 ser and ws looking for some more hp. Does anyone know what the differences are between the engines. Ser ratee at 177 and specv at 210. Is it computer, exhaust or cam specs? Any help would be appreciated, I need just a little more to handle this guys at work stang. Thanks.

In the B15 SE-R and Spec V the difference was in the ECM, with more aggressive ignition and fuel maps in the Spec.

With the B16, it's in the compression ratio, the SE-R has 9.5:1, and the Spec V has 10.5:1, along with I'd guess different fuel/ignition maps. The B16 SE-R engine is almost like the B15 Spec V engine, with 2 more horsepower and 7 lb/ft less tq.
