whats the difference between SOHC and DOHC

yes i know i might sound stupid but but i was just woundering if SOHC still has an advantage over DOHC?im saying this becaz i thinking about selling my 91 DOHC super hicas fastback. and having extra cash to fix up the coupe.

and getting a SOHC coupe.

i don't think that was that actual question.

you should probably state what your goals are and you will get a better answer.in general dohc is more efficient than sohc.
