Hey I'm new to this site, you guys really know your stuff. The dash on my Z31 is all cracked, split, and just nasty looking. I got a dash cover on it now which i can't stand either, whats a good way to redo the dash: just rip it all out, or do they make a better type cover?

replace it.

it really depends on the condition of the cracks the foam underneath.

you can buy a premolded cover that slips over the existing dash for around 100 or possible find a new replacement, but probably gonna cost you about 4 times that.

I was thinking about the metal idea, but looking at how the driver side is with those angles.. that just spells disaster. But dont get me wrong I'll still give it a shot just to say that I tried.

I may have to hit you up on that evildky, how much are you asking

the original dash was cracked. so i just cut it any high points, sanded it down and laid 1 layer of fiber glass on it then i went over it with bondo to smoothen everything out primed and painted it.

am going to tear it down and re do it. some one stole my tv and a few other things so i have to. this time i will be laying about 2-3 layers of fiber glass
