Whats the best way to make the stock ex mani fully divided?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

So I have a holset hx30 after I broke my stocker which I'm not too upset about.

But the holset has a divided exhaust housing and the stock manifold has that stupid cut out in the divider right at the end so its not fully divided. I know it will have an effect and I think the holset could out spool the stocker.

So whats the best way to weld the cast mani. Of course I don't want it to chip off and ruin my turbo.

Or should I just leave it as is and just focus on getting it together?

I wish Stecs manifold was divided, at least the side mount one any way.

i personally dont think it would make a difference, not anything significant enough to go thru thru the hassle, the stock manifold is divided but the runners are are all very unequal length as well id just save up for something better...

I ground mine back to increase flow, and because my spacers weren't divided, so I figured it was a lost cause.

on a cool morning I'll still get 14psi at about 3200rpm on a warmer day around 3500

If you are adamant about this, just cut out the upper divider and polish it smooth. Welding on our manifolds is easy. use Nickel 55 and your good.

Personally, I would just focus on getting it on the road.

I'm also interested in how the HX30 works out.
